SumArth (registered as MicroX Foundation), founded in 2015 and operating across Gaya, Bihar & Delhi NCR, is a social impact organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of marginalized and climate-vulnerable rural communities. Guided by the belief that development must be inclusive, gender-responsive, and environmentally sustainable, we work at the intersection of sustainable agriculture, women’s empowerment, and menstrual health.
To build resilient rural communities where women and smallholder farmers lead economic growth, adopt climate-smart practices, and access their right to dignity, health, and livelihood.
To empower rural households by creating sustainable livelihoods, strengthening women’s agency and leadership, improving access to menstrual health and hygiene, and promoting climate-resilient agriculture and regenerative practices.
Our mission is to uplift underserved communities by creating accessible, community-driven solutions and promoting enterprise-led development. Through grassroots engagement, capacity-building, and skilling initiatives, we build scalable rural models that strengthen resilience and dignity across underserved geographies.
A holistic intervention model providing end-to-end support to farmers with solutions for input linkages, technology, product optimization and value chain integration. We build capacity, handhold cultivation & harvesting, and integrate low-cost innovations to secure sustainable livelihoods for small and marginal farmers.
Major interventions: Mushroom, Onion, Babycorn, Sweetcorn, Beekeeping, Rice & Paddy Value Chain, Composting (Vermicompost & Spent Mushroom Substrate).
We promote entrepreneurial mindset among rural & peri-urban communities through skilling, technology demonstrations, and entrepreneurship development programs. We have trained thousands of women in entrepreneurship, digital and financial literacy, and supported one of the fastest growing Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in the region.
A holistic livelihood model and health awareness program empowering communities across Bihar. Our initiatives include Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) awareness programs, health camps, healthpreneur promotion, distribution of healthcare products and hygiene kits, and raising awareness about Kangaroo Mother Care.
We promote circular economy and waste-to-wealth practices among urban, peri-urban & rural communities through food gardens, vermi-composting, home composting and waste management, supported by innovative engagement and value chain linkages.
Because we believe true development happens when women lead, communities own solutions, agriculture becomes climate-resilient, innovation reaches the last mile, and dignity is restored to every individual.
SumArth is not just an organization — it is a movement of empowered rural women, resilient farmers, and hopeful communities building a better tomorrow.
We are grateful to our donors and partners who support our work across livelihoods, health, women empowerment and climate action.
