SumArth is a grassroots social impact organisation working to build stronger rural communities through livelihoods, women's empowerment, climate action and menstrual health.
Our Story
It Began With a Simple Question.
What would it take to make rural livelihoods more secure, profitable and dignified?
When SumArth began in 2014, our work focused primarily on the challenges faced by small and marginal farmers.
But working closely with communities taught us something important:
Livelihood challenges do not exist in isolation.
- Income is connected to gender.
- Agriculture is connected to climate.
- Health is connected to dignity.
- Opportunity is connected to access.
Our journey therefore evolved from supporting agriculture to building an integrated grassroots development model.
Today, SumArth works with farmers, women, girls, young people and underserved communities to build economic resilience, climate resilience, agency and dignity.
